This concert of English music features two UK premieres commissioned by the BBC Concert Orchestra for our soloist, violinist Charles Mutter: Peter Cowdrey’s witty and irreverent Bremania, and the mercurial Concerto in One Act for violin and orchestra by Guy Barker, a piece strongly influenced by the rhythms and sensibilities of Argentinian Tango.
